1.3.6-48

I questioned why Laertes said that the "best safety lies in fear" concerning Ophelia's possible relationship with Hamlet, when usually fear is paired with danger. The responses were interesting. Most of them were about how Laertes was utilizing fear to impose advice on Ophelia, however the one point of view that stood out was that Laertes was using fear to protect Polonius's position. If the relationship between Ophelia and Hamlet were to go south, Polonius's position and job might be affected.
