From Lizzy

"My original question was on the passage seen in act 1 scene 2 lines 90-121. I asked: Throughout the passage Claudius refers to the idea of "us", "our state", and so on. How is/how can Hamlet be apart of the state if he is in school at Wittenberg? Is he running away from his family/responsibilities? Why? Reading the responses was really an interesting process. They made me think further on the subject and generate more questions. I keep relating this tension in the family to the description of the ghost as ' a guilty thing' in act 1 scene 1. I feel that there has to be some family history, Hamlet Sr. did something, there is some secret and I want to know! "
